Job Application

Hey guys, how many of you have a job? One of the reasons to come to university is to prepare yourself for the challenge of doing a job and doing it OK, and, as successful engineers, you will probably have a couple of chances of working for an international company, where English will obviously be a must. In this week's blog you will be writing a job application based on the example on page 108 in your textbook. You can find real job posts at www.internmatch.com/s/engineering-internship

Describing your home

Hi guys!
Do you remember before our 'forced break'? There is one thing we did before all of that... we talked about the things that you have in your house or apartment, and you said that there are many rooms and objects and devices that you use or have. The following blog entry is related to that topic, but not only that... there is something else you have to use in your post and that is the connectors you can find on page 107 of your book. Read the text called 'My new flat' and select the correct connector in each case, then, write a text about your house following that example and using those connectors.

Read you later ;)

Someone you admire

Hello again guys!
It's time to write again and, as you know, our second topic is people, not you but OTHER people. So your mission this time is to write some information about the life and deeds of one person you admire, the only requisite is that this person MUST be famous, or at least well-known, please DON'T write about your mother, your grandfather or your dog... Unless they are very very famous.
That's it, take it away and have some fun writing!

Hello everybody. Welcome to our class blog

In our first post the task is simple. All you have to do is talk about the person you know the most: you!
Spend some time saying hello to your classmates and introduce yourself. Also, share with us a short paragraph talking about your interests, hobbies and the things you love.
Read you later!
